Born New York. Lived on both coasts, been to every U.S. state and half a dozen countries all before my fifteenth birthday. 

Studies were all over the place in college. Pre-med, journalism, creative writing, Chinese language, Asian studies, linguistics, Fine Arts, Sculpture-- built my own bronze pouring foundry. 

Master’s in fiction writing with focus on the novel finally from City University of Hong Kong. Program shut down for political reasons the year I graduated  just prior to the Big O. Henry moment in 2019.

Forsook journalism for writing novels. Discovered I prefer dreams over facts, and when I read that Joseph Conrad, William Faulkner and tons of famous novelists likened novels to dreams, I decided yeah I’m in.
